Protogen Customization Options
This is a list of the various options of protogen visors, helmet head bases, styles, electronics, and features that could be added to the customer's protogen fursuit. All of our protogen fursuits are made for costuming purposes only.
All protogen helmet pieces are 3D printed and designed by Knittin' Kitten Fashion unless specified.
Protogen Helmet Base Style
We currently offer three styles of protogen fursuit heads. The helmet style is determined by the band that wraps around the visor and visor shape.

KKF Round Protogen
The rounded helmet style fits the rounded protogen visor. Compatible with MAX7219 electronics and HUB75 electronics.
KKF Square Protogen
The sqaure protogen helemt style fits the squared visor. Compatible with MAX7219 electronics and HUB75 electronics.
M16 Studios MK3 Protogen
The MK3 protogen helmet style was created by M16 studios. This style of protogen has a visor that does not require the use of magnets. Compatible with MAX7219 electronics and HUB75 electronics.
Protogen Visor Shapes
Protogen cheeks on the Knittin' Kitten Fashion protogen helmet head base are customizable. Below is a list of the various options. If you are interested in the custom cheek fin option, you must have a detail photo and reference sheet of the design.
Rounded Visor
The rounded visor has a rounded finish.
Square Visor
The squared visor has a square finish to it.
MK3 Visor
The MK3 visor is only available for the M16 studio's style of protogen helmet base.
Custom Cheek Fins
Custom cheek fins can be requested on your custom commissioned protogen fursuit.
Rounded Cheek Fin
A short and rounded style of cheek fin.
Feathered Cheek Fin
Feathered cheek fins have four small feather like cheek fins that are rounded on the ends.
Geo Cheek Fin
The Geo Cheek fin is a medium length fin with a squared end.
Classic Cheek Fin
The classic cheek fin is an extra-long fin that is rounded on the end.
Protogen Electronic Options
We offer two different styles of protogen facial electronics on our finished protogen fursuit commissions. Our standard electronics are the MAX7219 elecronics. The MAX7219 electronics come with 7 different facial expressions that can be changed by the press of a button. The HUB75 electronics are our Advanced electronics options. The HUB75 electronics offer a microphone option that will allow the protogen's mouth to move when the wearer speaks. The advaned electronics also offer multiple facial expressions that change by the touch of a button.

MAX 7219 electronics by KKF are built with 7 preprogrammed electronic faces that change by the press of a button.

HUB75 Electronics- Round Style
HUB75 electronics are pre-programmed with the Colea Can't software, Prototracer. The prototracer software has a microphone to allow the protogen's mouth to move when the wearer speaks. It comes with multiple facial expressions that can be changed by the press of a button.
HUB75 Electronics- Square Style
HUB75 electronics are pre-programmed with the Colea Can't software, Prototracer. The prototracer software has a microphone to allow the protogen's mouth to move when the wearer speaks. It comes with multiple facial expressions that can be changed by the press of a button.
