Protogen Care Guide

Padding

When cleaning your protogen head, remove the padding from the inside of the fursuit head and handwash it with a small amount of detergent. DO NOT GET WATER NEAR THE PROTOGEN ELECTRONICS AND FANS.

Visor

Wearing a protogen visor is similar to looking through a pair of sunglasses. Similar to sunglasses, the visor can become scratched if worn incorrectly or rough. The visor is designed to fit the protogen helmet, do not try to cut the visor or it may not fit the helmet if altered.

Fursuiting

When wearing a protogen fursuit, the visor has a chance of fogging. To help prevent the visor from fogging you can:

- Wear a balaclava.

- Turn on fans inside the protogen head.

- Breath mainly through your nose if you are able.

- Clean the inside of your visor after use by wiping it out.

- Avoid sudden tempeture changes while wearing the protogen head.

Coding

Never plug your protogen electronics into a computer to try to reset the code with a new one. Once you upload a new code to the board, the current code will be erased. Knittin' Kitten Fashion is not resposible for recoding your protogen light boards.

Helmet Base

The protogen helmet bases are all 3D printed items. Please be mindful when storing your protogen. Do not leave in direct sunlight as this can cause the visor to discolor potentially overtime. Also, store protogen in a cooler environment.

Electronics

Protogen lights will turn on when plugged into a battery pack. Never connect your protogen to another power source other than a battery pack.

Magnets

All of our protogen helmets use magnets to hold on the visors unless specified. Place the magnets together slowly to help the longevity of the magnets.
